Privacy notice

This notice explains how Dereham Local Welfare Fund ("we") uses your personal information when you make or are invited to make a pledge. Our bank account is held in the name Dereham Charitable Funds.

What we hold

Your name, email address and (if you give it) mobile number; any business name you pledge on behalf of; the pledges you make and their payment schedules; and the payments we receive from you, as shown on our bank statements.

Why we use it

To administer the Local Welfare Fund: inviting you to the annual pledge, recording and confirming your pledge, matching your payments, and contacting you about your pledge. We do this because it is necessary for our legitimate interest in running the fund on behalf of its supporters. You can ask us to stop sending appeal emails at any time.

Who can see it

Only the fund's administrators. Our system is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes the data on our behalf under contract. We never sell your information or share it for marketing. Any reports shared beyond the administrators are anonymised.

How long we keep it

Pledge and payment records are kept for six years after the end of the year they relate to, so that our accounts can be checked. Contact details are kept while you remain a supporter, or until you ask us to remove them.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted (subject to the financial records we must keep). Contact admin@derehamwelfare.org.uk. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
